Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe we'll be test-fitting the Swagman Jackknife 2-Bike Rack for 1 1/4 Inch and two-Inch hitches, part number S63450. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it with a wrench, and installing the clip on the other side. Now this bike rack does come with a lock to attach to your anti-rattle bolt, but it makes contact with our 7-way connector. So we'll be using the other bolt, which simply uses a pin. Now we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 20 1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of our Tahoe is about 10 inches.
We've added about 22 inches to the overall length of our Tahoe. We'll pull the safety pin at the base of our bike rack and allow our bike carrier to tilt away from our vehicle. This gives us full access to our rear hatch door. With our bike rack back in its upright position, we'll pull the lever at the top of the mast to swing out our dual arms. With these out, we've added about 32 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. We'll undo our wheel straps to expose our wheel cradles, grab our bike, place it onto our bike rack, and secure it by tightening each wheel strap. You want to make sure that your bike tires are sitting in the correct grooves on each wheel cradle. That completes today's test fit of the Swagman Jackknife 2-Bike Rack, part number S63450 on our 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe.
