Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, we will be test fitting the SportRack Semi Custom Roof Rack, part number sr1010. With our roof rack assembled according to the manufacturers instructions and our fit dials set to number 19 for both the front and the rear, we will begin our test fit by opening the front doors. We will grab our front bar, place it on to the front part of our roof, and to ensure that we have it located properly, we will measure 7 inches from the center of the door jamb to the center of the foot plate. Well do this measurement on both sides to make sure our feet are even. With our feet in the correct position, we will use an Allen 00:38 tool to tighten the Allen bolt, securing our foot plates to the roof line of our vehicle. We will move from side to side to ensure we do this evenly. With our front bars secure, well shut our front doors, open our rear doors.
We will grab our rear bar and place it on to the rear part of our roof. We will measure 26 inches from the center of the front bar to the center of the rear bar to make sure we have it in the right spot. We will do this measurement on both sides to make sure that our feet are even and our bars are parallel. We will repeat the same tightening process used on the front to secure our rear bar. With all 4 feet secure, we will install our locking covers and we are ready to go. That will complete todays test fit of the SportRack Semi Custom Roof Rack, part number sr1010 on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. .
