Review of a SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack on a 2011 Subaru Forester

Today on this 2011 Subaru Forester were a30901 from SportRack. This is the two bike easy hitch mounted bike rack. One quick note is that this bicycle rack will work with inch and a quarter receiver hitches, class one and class two. We will be using it on a class three receiver hitch with the included spacer. We will start off by installing the bike rack into the hitch, we will tighten down the anti rattle bolt, and then put the safety pin on the other side. And we will be using a inch wrench to tighten everything down.

Okay next we will give you some measurements that will give you an idea of clearance between the bicycle rack and the vehicle, and the bicycle rack and the ground. For clearance between the bicycle rack and the hatch it will be 11 inches, and the ground clearance will be 13 inches. At the very end of the bike rack the measurement will be 16 inches. Alright next well go ahead and unfold the bike rack, there are two keyed pins that we need to pull out and re-insert when we unfold it. Alright now we will take the center post, pull out the pin for it and move it out of the way as well, and then we can go ahead and load up a bike.

Okay we will go ahead and put the bike in the wheel loops, then take the post and put it back into position, and then slide the clamp down on to the top of the top tube. Okay all thats left is the hook and the fasteners for our straps that hold the wheels. With just a few steps our bike is already loaded up and ready to go, and with that that will finish it for our test fit of part number a30901 from SportRack the 2 bike easy mounted bike rack on our 2011 Subaru Forester.
