Review of the SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack on a 2011 Dodge Nitro

All right, today on this 2011 Dodge Nitro, were going to do a test fit of part number A30901 from SportRack. Some notes to know about this bicycle rack is that it will work with 1-1/4 inch receiver hitches both Class 1 and Class 2, and it will also work with 2-inch receiver hitches with the provided spacer. And with this vehicle, well be working with the 2-inch receiver hitch. Well start off our test by installing the bike rack in to the hitch. Then well tighten down the anti-rattle bolt and then install the pin on the other side. Lets go ahead and unfold the bike rack and get some clearance measurements.

Our ground clearance looks like 15-1/4 inches. From the bike rack to the bumper were looking at 11-1/4 inches. And clearance at the very back of the rack will be 20-1/4 inches. All right, now well go ahead and check for access to back of the vehicle. Now we can go ahead and load up a bike.

First thing we do, make sure that the straps are out of the way for the wheel wells we're going to use and that the clamps on the center post ran up to the very top. Load our bike, well put the wheels into the wheel loops and then well bring the center post up and bring the clamp down onto the top tube. Then well make sure that the pin's in place. Then we can go ahead and run the straps through the wheels. All right, and thats all it takes to load up a bike.

And with that, thatll finish it for our test fit of part number A30901 from SportRack on our 2011 Dodge Nitro.
