Review of a SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack on a 2005 Toyota Sienna

Alright today on a 2005 Toyota Sienna Mini-van, we are going to do a test of part number A30901, from SportRack. This is SportRacks 2 Bike easy Hitch Mounted Bike Rack. This bicycle rack will fit both 1-1/4 inches class one and class two hitches, and also class three hitches. On this test fit we will be using a class three receiver hitch. So we have the bushing in place, we will go ahead and slide it in. Next we will install the anti-rattle bolt, we will just go ahead and install it and thread it in.

it kind of helps to move the bicycle rack around to help get it started, and then we will go ahead and tighten up the bolt with inch wrench. On the other side of the bolt we will install our safety pin. Lets go ahead next and give you some measurements that will give you an idea of clearance between the rack and the bumper. Looks like to the end of the wheel cradle to the end of the bumper is about 6-1/2 inches, and also on ground clearance on the bottom of this vehicle looks like the bottom of the rack at its highest point is going to be 14 inches, and of course the bicycle rack will be just a little bit above the bottom of the hitch on a vehicle. Alright we will go ahead and show access to the back of the van.

To do that you have to move the mast out of the way, pull out the safety pin, and it folds back, and then you have access to the vehicle. Alright lets go ahead and load up a bike and give you an idea of how it holds it. First we will un-strap the safety straps, and load up the bike. Now the wheel wells are adjustable, loosen this nut up and then just scoot it back. Fit the bike and then tighten the knob back down, pull the mast up, put the clamp down on top of the top tube, put our pin back into place at the bottom, and we push the bike down just a little bit, add some more pressure, and then tighten down the knob for the clamp.

Then well put our safety straps over the wheel. Okay with a few simple steps our bike rack is up and ready to go and that will cover our test fit of part number A30901 from SportRack. .
