Review of the SeaSucker Roof Rack on a 2015 Ram 2500

Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam, with Today, we're going to be taking a look at SeaSucker's Monkey Bars Roof Rack System on our 2015 Ram 2500.So what sets these bars apart. First of all, they're extremely easy to install. A lot of those traditional roof rack systems either goes onto your existing rails or clamps on into the jams of your doors. This Ram doesn't come with any existing rails, so it has a naked roof.

So these honestly are my favorite pick for this type of vehicle. I'm not going to have any brackets going in the jams of my doors. So I don't have to worry about anything getting damaged. It does have a rubber suction cup, which is going to protect my roof as well. Each of these cups are six inches and also has a pull capacity of about 210 pounds.

So these things really aren't going anywhere. It does have a round bar style as you see here, which is going to have a little bit of road noise. And one thing we do offer at is a front fairing, which is going to cut down on that wind noise. So we do have a 48-inch bar on this roof right here. And the distance between your roof and the bottom part of that is going to be three and three quarter inches to the bottom of the bar. And from the top of your roof to the top, it's going to be about five inches and a quarter. So it's always nice to know if you're going to be able to open up your sunroof and just to know how much height you added to your vehicle. So these bars are made of aluminum.

So they're going to resist against rust and corrosion over time. We do have a lot of space underneath, so we're going to be able to tie a lot of stuff down. It does have a weight capacity of 150 pounds. So we're going to be able to fit quite a bit of stuff on top of our roof. Always check with your owner's manual to make sure that your roof can handle that weight.

And if so, you can go to and pick out all the different accessories we can put with this roof rack system. I know there's a couple of cool canoe carriers, kayak carriers, a couple bike racks, or even just a cargo carrier or a cargo basket on top. Whatever it may be, it's going to be able to strap down pretty nicely and free up some of that space in your cab.Well, now that I've went over some of those cool features of these SeaSucker Monkey Bars, let's just go ahead and install them together. So I have our front bars in place already. All I really had to do is look at our instructions to get the measurement from the top of our windshield, to the edge of this sucker, to get it placed in the right place. So from now, all we got to do is install the back bars. And really the only thing we need to think about is keeping that distance more than 24 inches. So I'm going to take my back bar, place it where I want it. So I got our bar in place here. I did measure from this point of our bar to this one, just to make sure that it's nice and even and level on both sides. I did clean our roof just to get that suction, just to be absolutely optimal. I did clean the underneath of the suction cup. So now we're ready to fasten it down. What you got to do is just kind of push down like so, and then you start pumping this up. What's going to happen is, as you can see, that orange section of that button is now hidden, which means it is nice and sucked down properly. I'm going to go around the other side and do the same exact thing. Now that we're all secure, we're ready to go.And it's even easier to take these things off. Literally, all you do is just grab this section here and just get that air to go in that pocket. And that's literally all you have to do. We do have a little cover just to put over this thing whenever we're not using it, just so it doesn't get all nasty and lose all its suction ability. Thanks for tuning in and taking a look at the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack System on our 2015 Ram 2500..
