Today, on our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Roof Rack System. That part number is RRRS623B. The Rhino-Rack Roof Rack kit is a perfect solution for carrying any of your vehicle roof rack accessories on your vehicles roof. The aerodynamic design of the crossbars is going to help to reduce wind noise and drag, and the weather strip in the middle can be removed and cut down to work with channel-mounted accessories, so it's going to help to keep that dirt, debris, and liquid out of your crossbar. Not only does this work with channel-mounted accessories, but it also works with those clamp-on accessories, as well. The locking covers are going to help to prevent theft and tampering of your roof rack, as a whole. The fit kit is custom fit to your vehicle, and it's covered with rubber on any portion that will touch your vehicle, to help to prevent scratches or abrasions. This kit has a 165 pound weight capacity, though you do want to check your vehicles owners' manual, to make sure it can withstand that much weight.
The installation of this is quick and easy. We'll show you how to do that now. Now, here we have our back crossbar, as well as the fit kit and everything we need. We've already got our front bar on. You'll see that we have our end caps for our foot pack. We've got our fit kit pieces here, both the pad that goes along the bottom and the clamp.
We've got our keys, to lock on our covers, our included tool that's going to tighten everything down, and then we have a flat tape measure - we will need to provide this ourselves to measure out our crossbar spread. To start off, we're going to flip over our crossbar. We're going to be on the right side of the vehicle, so we're just going to pop off this bottom piece, here, and this is where we'll attach the rubber bottom. We just want to make sure the arrows are facing up, and then we want those arrows facing out. That just snaps back on. We'll see a bolt on the inside, we're actually going to undo that completely and take it out.
We'll take our clamp, we're going to place it over the top, and we'll reinsert our bolt into that nut. Now we'll open up our vehicle doors and get ready to load up our back bar. With our doors open, we'll gently take our crossbar, set it across our vehicle. Now, if your clamp doesn't quite pull all the way down and wrap around your door frame, you will need to loosen it a little bit. You don't want these too tight or too loose, you want them to just hold that clamp in place, but you want them to still be able to wrap around that door jam if you need it to. Now we'll take our crossbar spread measurement. This is going to be from the middle of the front clamps to the middle of the back, and that's going to be 75 centimeters.
We're just going to move that back. We'll have to adjust the other side so that the clamp fits around the door. We just want to make sure those sides are in the same place. Now with our crossbar measure out to the right distance from our front bar, we're going to take our included tool and we're going to start to tighten down that bolt. I'm going to tighten it down just so that my clamp is sitting up against our door jam. We'll do the same thing to the other side. Now we'll go back and forth, tightening down each side evenly, making sure that our crossbar doesn't pull too much to one side or the other. We'll know when our clamp is completely tight when the skinnier edge of our torque tool is completely straight. That will let us know we have enough torque behind our bolt. We'll make sure we do the same thing on the other side. Last thing to do is place on our locking end caps, lock those up, and now we're ready to load up our gear and hit the road. That's going to be our completed look at the Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Roof Rack System, part number RRRS623B, on our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder.

I am struggling to find this exact part for my Pathfinder. Where would I be able to purchase one? Or is there a newer equivalent?
