Today, on our 2012 Cadillac SRX, we'll be test-fitting the Rhino Rack Hitch-Mounted 4-Bike Rack, part number RBC038. We'll begin our test-fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll thread in the anti rattle bolts, tighten it down using a wrench, and secure with the lock. With the bike rack secure, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about twenty one inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about six and a half inches away, and we've added about fourteen inches to the overall length of our Cadillac. We can now pull the black pin at the top of the mast, and swing the cradle arms out.
With the cradle arms out, we've added about thirty one inches to the overall length of our SRX. To access the cargo area, we can pull the pin at the base of the carrier and tilt the mast down. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. To load up a bike, we'll make sure the mast is in its upright position. We'll undo the cradle straps, place our bike into the frame cradles, and then secure it with the straps.
With our bike all loaded up, that'll complete today's test-fit for the Rhino Rack 4-Bike Rack, part number RBC038, on our 2012 Cadillac SRX. .
