How to Install Rain-X Weatherbeater Wiper Blades on a 2010 Ford Flex
Today on this 2010 Ford Flex were going to do a test fit of part number RX30224 from Rain-X. This is a Weatherbeater windshield wiper blade. To start off our test fit were going to go ahead and remove the original wiper blade. Theres a small tab we have to push up and we can go ahead and slide it off the arm. Once we have it apart we can tell that this is a J style arm, however there is two sizes of this particular arm. This is the larger of the two.
Well have to change out the connector on our windshield wiper blade. The wiper blade comes ready to go with the one for the smaller J arm. Lets go ahead and pop out the original connector, and then well go ahead and install the new universal connector that comes with the windshield wiper blade. It just snaps into place and then we can go ahead and install it on the arm. Were going to have that wiper arm, not even with the arm we installed, but almost 90 degrees away from it.
It makes it easier to put everything together and slide into place until it clicks. Then we can go ahead and put it on the windshield. Were done with our drivers side. Lets go ahead and repeat the same process over on the passengers side. However, that uses a different part number due to a different size.
That will be part number RX30222. A few other things to know about this windshield wiper blade, it has a galvanized steel frame. The squeegee is all natural rubber with built in UV inhibitors to help protect it from the sunlight. This is a frame style design with multiple pressure points to attach it to the windshield. With that, that will finish it for our test fit of part number RX30224 from Rain-X, the Weatherbeater windshield wiper blade on our 2010 Ford Flex.
