This is a Putco Element Bug Shield. First thing we need to do is go ahead and get our bug shield ready to install. Now the three components. There'll be a screw, a flat washer, and this nut.

We're going to put the bolt through the washer and the bug shield. Then we'll loosely attach the nut. Now when we tighten this down, this'll expand and fit into the hole that's in the hood of the truck. Just enough to hold the shape is all we need. We got our center one done, let's go ahead and do one on each side at the ends. All right, let's go ahead an open up the hood of our truck, and we'll go ahead and point out the attachment points. Starting on the passenger's side, right here, our center, and our driver's side.

Basically, we'll go ahead and take our bug shield, align it with those holes, push it into place, then we'll tighten down the fasteners. Okay, we'll get our center one started. Then we'll work our way out. We'll just tie them down, enough to hold it in place, then go on to the next two. Once we have them all started, we'll go ahead and snug them down for good. You don't want to crank these down, but you want to get them nice and snug.

All right, let's go ahead and lower the hood, and there's too little bumpers that we have to install. These bumpers we got to install, wherever the bug shield is closest to you, the hood. In this case, it's going to be in the corner, because it's touching. We'll go ahead and clean off the area. A little alcohol wipe, that comes with the bug shield. We'll just put it into place on those little bumpers.

They just peel off. Put them into place, they want to go right next to the edge here, just about a 16th in, just set it down. Then press down with the bug shield. Our passenger's side is done. Let's do the same thing on the driver's side. We're already finished. Let's go ahead an shut the hood for good, and see how it looks. In just those few steps, we're already finished with our install. That'll do it for part number, P570100. The Putco Element Bug Shield on our 2013 Chevrole Silverado. .
