Today on our 2013 Toyota Siena we'll be test fitting the Pro Series Q Slot Platform Style 2 and 4 Bike Rack for 2 inch Hitches, Part Number PS63138. For today's test fitting we'll be using the 2 bike configuration for 2 inch hitches. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. We'll thread in the anti-rattle bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 6 inches away and we've added about 22 inches to the overall length of our Siena.
To lower the platform and access the rear hatch we can pull the three silver pins at the base of the bike rack and tilt down the platform as well as the mast. As you can see, we can easily gain access to the rear hatch. To load up a bike, we'll make sure the mast is in it's upright position. We'll undo the cradle straps and double check to make sure the frame hooks are at the top of the mast. We'll then place our bike into the wheel cradles.
inaudible 01:02 start with the back side of the bike to place it onto the bike rack. It is a tight fit between the bike rack and the rear hatch of the vehicle. With the wheels of the bike in the cradles we can adjust the frame hook down tightly against the frame. We then go ahead and secure the front and rear tire with the hook and loop straps. Now keep in mind there is some wiggle room on the mast and the handlebars do come in contact with the rear hatch.
That'll complete today's test fit for Pro Series Q Slot Part Number PS63138 on our 2013 Toyota Siena. .
