Today on our 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, well be test fitting part number PS63134. This is the Pro Series Q Slot Platform Style Two Bike Carrier for both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches. Now to begin our installation, using the included adaptor for the 2-inch hitch, well slide our bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our hitch pin. Well then put the safety pin on the other side of our hitch pin which will secure our bike rack to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the back of the bike rack is 15 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 6 inches.
Well now go ahead and unfold our bike rack platform and open our cargo door. As you can see we can gain full access to the cargo area with this bike rack. Were now almost ready to load our bike. Well need only to make sure that our vertical bar clamps are completely extended and then our wheel loop straps are undone and out of the way. Well then place our bike into the wheel loops and bring our vertical bar up remembering to reinstall the pin holding the bar in place.
With that done, well bring the clamp down over the top bar of our bike, securing our bike to the bike rack. Well move back down to the wheel loops where well put the straps through the wheels and secure them on the other side of the wheel loop. There you have it our bike is loaded ever ready to head on down the road.
