How to Install the Pewag Servo Self Tensioning Tire Chains on a 2016 Kia Sedona

Today on our 2015 Kia Sedona, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Pewag Servo RS Self- Tensioning Snow Tire Chains, part number PWRS80. The patented tensioning system self tightens during installation. No manual tensioning is needed. With titanium alloy steel construction, it's going to be strong and corrosion resistant. With the diagonal pattern, it delivers a smooth ride. These are going to be a low profile design that are going to be SAE class S tire chains, for vehicles with limited clearance in the wheel well. Now let's go ahead and see how they're installed.

We will be installing them on tire size 235 60 R18. Now we pull our chain out of our bag, we're going to want to make sure that we lay it out and check for any kinks, twists, any breaks, or any damage to our cables, making sure that we have them laid out the right way with the label facing outwards. You can see that all the Pewag is all facing upright. The side with no labels is facing down. Find the center with that quick link in it. We're going to place it over the tire to where that cable goes back behind.

Then we can go ahead and make our connection on the back side. I'll go ahead and take our links on the back side and press them together and twist. Let's go ahead and make our connection o the outside. I'll go head and flip it to the open setting here on the box and pull out the cable. Go ahead and make our connection on the farthest link that we can. Once you have your connection made, we'll go ahead and adjust the chain to where the vehicles are as close to down the center of the tire as you can get them. Once you have those made, go ahead and click it to the drive position and let that cable tighten up.

As you drive, it will actually pull any tension that you may have in it until that's all the way back down. That will do it for our review and installation of the Pewag Servo RS Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains, part number PWRS80 on our 2016 Kia Sedona.
