How to Install the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today, on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be installing a Longview custom towing mirror, part number LVT-1800. This is a set of custom towing mirrors that will slip on over your manufacturer equipment mirrors. Standing at the back of the truck, viewing the reflection from the mirror, through the manufacturer's mirror seeing behind the vehicle is easy. However, if we have a longer towing product or wider, using our long view mirror, much easier to see the product so we can safely navigate the road. Let's go ahead and take a look at the passenger side, which we've already installed. As you can see, the mirror slips on, gripping the outer edge of the original mirror but won't hinder the operation, whether manual or power of the manufacturer's mirror. Here, at our extension, we have a manual mirror that we can move up, down, in, or out as necessary to view our towing product. Securing our mirror here to the manufacturer's mirror, we have the hand knob on the back side that holds the hook that grips the front edge, therefore preventing the mirror from coming off, holding it nice and tightly so it won't shift and move around on bumpy roads or highway speeds. Additionally, since we're adding width to our vehicle, it won't interfere with being able to fold it in for those tight parking situations. Now, let's go ahead and show you how to install it on the driver's side.

On the inside of our mirror, you'll see the felt strip and the padding to prevent scratching between the Longview mirror and our original mirror. Before we install our mirror, we're going to go ahead and make sure that the vehicle mirror is nice and clean so we don't have to worry about scratching between the two surfaces. Once it's clean, we'll go ahead and take the Longview mirror, slide it into place. While holding it in place, we'll take the hook, grab the front, put it through the hole, and take the hand knob and thread it onto the hook. We'll just go ahead and tighten it down. Once it's tightened down, really locks it into place.

Once it's in place, you can see we can adjust the manufacturer's mirror as necessary because the slip on mirror does not interfere with it. Then, we'll adjust our outside mirror as necessary to view our towing product. There you have it for the install and operation of our Longview custom towing mirrors, part number LTV-1800 on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. .
