How to Install the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors on a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, we're going to be installing the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors in a slip-on design, for both the driver and the passenger side, part number LVT-1800. Now, here's what our Longview custom towing mirrors look like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and show you what they look like going down the road with a trailer attached. Now I'm standing back behind the vehicle. We're looking through the factory mirror, and as you can see, you cannot see me in the factory mirror. But when you move over to the Longview towing mirror, you can see me. This gives you and idea of how much extra field of view you have behind your vehicle with the towing mirrors installed. Now let's go over the operation of the functions of our towing mirror here. This outer mirror is the actual towing mirror.

It is fully adjustable, but it is manually adjustable, so you will need to move it by hand. Now with our Longview towing mirror on, it does not inhibit or stop the use of your factory mirror. You still have full range of motion with it. It still adjusts, and you can still move it to whatever angle you need. Now let's go ahead with our installation. Now here's what our Longview custom towing mirror looks like. We have the mirror itself, we have a plastic clip, we have a plastic nut. Now let's go ahead and show you how it installs on our vehicle.

We're going to start over on the driver's side. Now before you install you new Longview custom towing mirrors, it's a good idea to clean the mirror off ahead of time. Now with our factory mirror cleaned, now we're ready to install our custom towing mirror. It just takes a couple quick steps, and our towing mirror will be installed. Go ahead and take the towing mirror, slide it over the factory mirror. We'll then take our plastic clip, hook it on the front edge.

We'll then take the plastic nut, feed it through the towing mirror, and thread it onto the plastic clip. Go ahead and tighten down the plastic nut. You'll want to tighten it down so that the mirror becomes secure and doesn't move around on the factory mirror. With those couple quick steps, the driver's side mirror is installed. Now we'll go ahead and move over to the passenger's side, where we'll repeat the same process. That'll do it for our installation of the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors in the slip on design, for both the driver and the passenger's side, part number LVT-1800, on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. .
