How to Install the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors on a 2013 Ram 1500

Today on our 2013 Ram 1500 Crew Cab, we will be installing the longview slip-on custom towing mirrors for driver and passenger sidepart number LVT-3100C. The towing mirrors slip over your factory side-view mirrors to give you a better view of the road and your trailer. This will allow you to safely and easily change lanes, pass, and park. The towing mirrors will not obstruct factory mirrors and they will not interfere with the adjustment of factory mirrors. The aerodynamic shape helps to prevent vibration and wind noise. The chrome plating on the mirror face helps minimize distortion and reduces glare, while the manually adjustable face allows you to customize your view. As you can see here, our kit includes two mirrors, two clips with threaded ends, and two hand knobs used for tightening. We will begin our installation by sliding the towing mirror onto our existing mirror. We will want to make sure that the tab is kind of favored towards the top.

With our towing mirror slipped all the way on, we will bring the clip around the front of our mirror through the hole in our tab, then tighten it down with the hand knob. We will then make our way to the passenger side and repeat this process to install it. Made of durable ABS plastic, the kit includes both the driver and passenger side mirror, made in the United States with a 6-month warranty. We do not have the LVT-3100C listed as a fit for the 2014 Ram 2500, Longview only covers the 1500 past model year 2008. However, CIPA does have a kit available, part CM11400. They do note that the mirrors will not fit if your original mirrors are extendable.
