How to Install a K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirror on a 2018 Ford Expedition

Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror on our 2018 Ford Expedition. Not only are you going to be able to see those longer loads you may be hauling, it's also going to widen your view getting rid of a lot of those blind spots that your factory mirrors may not be able to show you. It's going to give you peace of mind going down the road, and just keep everybody more safe.So we are going to get two mirrors with this kit, and they both are going to be able to rotate around a central point, up and down, right and left. And we do have a convex mirror over here, so it's going to give you a little bit wider view even though it's a little smaller.

It's going to have the same movement as your first one. So we are going to be able to fold these in just as if they weren't installed. We aren't having any contact with our trim here, and we won't have any contact with our window. And that's going to do exactly what we need it, and that is to cut down on the vehicle width.So we do have a rather unique setup for these straps on our universal towing mirrors, and it's going to be a ratchet strap style. You're going to be able to tighten with little effort.

It's going to get that nice and tight fit. Also, it does have some soft durable rubber straps and a rubber boot on this section here. That's going to help your mirror withstand all those scratches and abrasions. So this does come in a pair of two and it's going to be the same exact installation process on both sides. So let's just go ahead and do that now.So all we really need to do is just make sure that these plastic tabs here are just pulled up a little bit and it's going to go in between our housing and our mirror.

So we slide that in there, get those plastic tabs in place both on top and bottom. Perfect. Slide it on there. Then we can go ahead and start ratcheting our mirror down.
