How to Install the K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror on a 2013 Acura MDX

Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Acura MDX, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Ksource Universal Clip-on towing mirrors. It's available in a quantity of one with part number KS3891. You can also pick it up as a pair, with part number KS3891-2.It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer or camper. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. Now if I take a few step in towards my trailer, you can see there's no blind-spot by the way we have it set up, but right here is the view you get with just your factory mirror. The mirror itself can be adjusted to most angles. We've got our up and down, diagonal and side to side.

Now, if we remove the Phillips Head screw from the back of the mirror, we can take the mirror out, turn it to the horizontal position for a different view. Here are the four tabs. They're not going to interfere with the operation or movement of our factory mirror, and we can even still fold the whole thing in.Here in the back, it uses two ratchet-style straps to hold the mirror in place. The nice thing about that ratchet-style is that you're going to get that extra tight, snug fit around that housing. They do feature large rubber pads so we don't have to worry about them harming or scratching the finish of the back side of that mirror. Now here, you can see it only covers up a portion of our turn signal, so we're still going to have use of that.A couple great things about towing mirrors are: For one, it's for temporary use, so we can take it off when we're done towing.

Another great thing is: Since it is universal, if we have any other trucks or SUVs in the household, it's probably going to work with those as well. Now we'll show you how to get it installed. So if you're on the driver's side of my Acura MDX, to begin the test fit, we'll need to make sure that our tabs on our mirror here are pulled out, so we can easily fit it around our housing. With them all pulled out and adjusted correctly, let's go ahead and set it in place. Now we want the tabs to go between the mirror and the housing, top and bottom. Now I'm just going to center mine up with the mirror here.

Then I can hold it in place and run my straps on the other side. Now when we run our straps, we want to make sure that the rubber pad is going to contour the back side of the mirror, so we're going to put it on this direction. We'll take that top portion of the strap, connect it there, and then we're going to do the same thing on bottom.Once it's connected, we can come up to our ratchet, lift up our cover, and begin ratcheting it down, until we get a nice, snug fit. Then we can repeat the same process with the second strap. With both straps in place, we can adjust our mirror how we want, and we're ready to tow. It's that easy. That's going to complete our test fit on the Ksource Universal Clip-on towing mirror on our 2013 Acura MDX..
