Review of the Inno Roof Rack on a 2017 Toyota 4Runner

Speaker 1: We're going to be test fitting the Inno square crossbar roof rack system consisting of part numbers INB127. These are the Inno Square cross bars, 50 inches long. We'll also be using part number INFR and these are the Inno feet for the fitted square crossbars, particularly for factory raised side rails. The Inno roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof, while freeing up space inside your vehicle. This can carry anything from bike racks, to cargo baskets, to cargo boxes. The bars are very strong and durable. However, because of the square shape to them, they may cause noise while you're driving.

Etrailer.com does have a wide variety of fairings you can choose from that you can attach to these bars that will cut down that wind noise and drag. Or, you could upgrade to the aero bars, part number INXB108.The end caps to our foot packs are lockable, so once these are installed they're secure to your factory raised side rails. However, it is kind of a hindrance because if you have accessories on your roof rack, you can't necessarily make them keyed alike with this lock here, as you could with others. I'd like to give you a couple measurements now. From the center of the roof to the top of the bar, that's going to be about 3-3/4 inches tall.

From the center to the bottom of the bar, that's going to be about 2-3/4 inches tall. And that's going to be just enough space so you're not going to have to worry about any clearance issues between your accessories and the roof of your vehicle. The two bars combined have a carrying capacity of 220 pounds, which you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the square roof rack system, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. We have our first bar already installed up on our vehicle, and we have a rear bar partially assembled on our table here.In front of us we have our Inno foot, the two end caps, and the keys to lock the end cap, and the end cap for our square bar as well. Our first step, is we're going to take our foot and install it on the other end of our bar here.

And it simply just slides into place, like so. Now, we'll take our end cap, place that on as well. This just pushes right on. And now we're ready to set this on our factory raised side rail. We'll take our bar and set it down over our side rail. We're going to set it down in particular place.

Then our next step, is we're going to measure our crossbar spread from center of the bar to center of the bar. Just keep in mind you don't want to go below 24 inches. Next, we'll measure for our crossbar overhand, which is from this point out, and make sure that's even on both sides as well. And it's looking good. Now, we can start installing this completely on our vehicle. We'll take our strap, wrap it around. You see there's going to be two points here, we're going to the top portion here, to that catch. And then we'll take our integrated tool here, and just turn it to the right to tighten it down. We'll repeat this on the other side, and then we'll get our end caps. We'll lock that into place, and now we're ready to load up our gear and hit the road. And there you have it for the Inno square roof rack system on our 2017 Toyota 4Runner.
