Review of the Glacier Twist-Link Snow Tire Chains on a 2012 Toyota 4Runner

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, well be test fitting the Glacier Twist Link Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners for Light Trucks, part number PWH2228SC. Well be test fitting these tire chains on 265/70-17 tires. Now before I begin our test fit, well first lay the chains flat on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. Now this vehicle is primarily rear wheel drive, so well be putting the tire chains on the rear tires.Well now drap the tire chains over tire and noticing that the hooks are facing out, so that we dont damage our tire. Once we get the tire chains over the tire and centered, well move to the inside of the tire where we will connect the hook and link. Well then move to the outside of the tire where we will thread the link through the tightener and clip it with the other link on the other side.

We will then use the include cam tightener tool to tighten down the cams and secure the chains to the tire. You then will want to drive a little bit to make sure that the tire chains get centered onto the tire and tighten up any access slack if necessary.
