Rob: Hey everybody it's Rob here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at etrailer windshield and wiper cover on our 2017 Honda CRV. Now, our etrailer cover is here to do a few different things. It's going to make sure that our windshield is nice and protected, along with our wiper blades, in case there's going to be a big snow that comes along. A lot of us don't have a garage, or maybe we have one, we just can't utilize it like me. But we park our car out in the driveway, it snows overnight, or maybe we just come out after work, we've got tons of snow covering our windshield.
Well, that just means we're going to have to stand there and clean it all off. But with the cover, it's going to make it a lot easier to clean it off because it's not going to be sticking to the glass and we can actually just remove the whole cover.Now I know a lot of people will be wondering, well, what's going to keep it in place What's going to make sure nobody tampers with it And what's going to make sure that the wind isn't going to come by and just rip it off the front of my Honda. Well, for one, we have some elastic straps that do hold it in place. There's actually a few of them, it's a universal design. So we found that the smaller or shorter strap holds it really nice against the body, but then you do have that larger one for bigger vehicles.The other thing that's going to really make sure it holds it in place, because we could even pull these straps off.
And to be honest, it's probably still not going to come off because we have this bar inside of our door, that's actually attached to this cover. So even if wind does come a little bit underneath, it's not going to be able to come off, and it also means nobody's going to be able to pull it off. I'm actually going to have to open the door and remove that flap that has the rod inside of there.Now the way we have our cover sitting right now, would be great for cold weather. Think of it like this, the blue side, I always think of ice. So this is going to be good for that snow and ice.
And it's not going to stick to the glass because one, the cover's covering it. And this is a laminated material, so it's really slick and it's not going to be easy for that ice or snow to stick to. And the other thing is, is that our cover does actually cover up our wiper blades. So again, we're not going to have to worry about ice getting stuck to them or potentially freezing to our windshield.But since it is a 2-in-1 cover, on the other side of the cover, we have this really reflective silver material. Now this is going to help in those hot months, we can flip it over and have the reflected side up.
So that way it'll block some of that heat going inside of our CRV. So we don't have to worry about it being so warm inside, especially in the southern states or just any time during the summer, really, where it's really sunny. The inside of your car can turn into an oven very quickly. But with a cover, it's definitely going to block and reflect a lot of that heat.Now, it's really nice that our cover has a universal design because it might fit other vehicles that you have in your family as well. And our cover is going to measure 70 by almost 40. So it's going to be 70 inches wide and 39 3/4 inches tall. So again, that is a pretty wide variety of cars, trucks, vans, and crossovers that our cover can fit.So if you're tired of spending so much time cleaning the windshield off in the winter, or getting inside a really hot car during the summer, I think the etrailer 2-in-1 cover is going to do a great job of protecting both the windshield and wipers during the wintertime and the inside of your car during the summer.But again, I'm Rob here at etrailer.com.
