Review of the etrailer Cargo Area Protector on a 2020 Ford Escape

Howdy everyone, John here, and today we're taking a look at the E-Trailer Cargo Area Protector on our 2020 Ford Escape. Now this is gonna be a great choice if you like to have everything in your back area, cargo area protected, not only if you have your seats up but if you have them down. Now this comes in three sections and this first section is gonna be very useful if you happen to have your seats down, or let's say you just have your back hatch open, you are out going for a run or anything like that, and you wanna just protect the back of your legs and just have a nicer place to sit. It's really good for that. But let's say you're not using that, you can just take it off 'cause it's gonna have these hook and loop straps, and then you can easily just put it away for later. It's also going to protect all of the rest of your cargo area, including the back of your seats, which is really nice.

Let's say you take your furry friends out. I usually take my yellow labs out and they are notorious for shedding, so this is gonna protect the back little carpeted area of your seat and not have to worry about dealing with all that dog hair. Overall, it also happens to be very water resistant. I like it for that. We've had a couple times that not only have we had spills, whether it's groceries or the dog's not feeling well, and unfortunately accidents will happen.

You don't have to worry about how are you gonna clean that up because you can just undo the straps, take it out, wash it off, and then you're ready to go. I will say though, overall, if you're going to get this, I recommend also having some kind of area protection for the cargo that is a little bit more sturdy. I would check out the WeatherTech cargo pad. That's gonna be very useful for just making sure that there is a secondary line of defense. It's going to be better whenever you happen to have something that may be a little bit heavier and needs to hold its shape, or you're just wanting to keep everything in place.

But overall, this is a great choice. It's very easy to take off, put back on and then go on your rides. And if you happen not to be using it, it's very easy to just put away in a safe place for later use. And that was a look at the E-Trailer Cargo Area Protector here on our 2020 Ford Escape. Thanks for watching..
