Today on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, we'll be test fitting the Draw-Tite Ball Mount with 3/4-inch Rise or 2-inch Drop rated at 6000 lbs., part number 292. Now to begin our test fit, we'll first need to get our hitch height measurement. This is the measurement from the inside top edge of the receiver tube to the ground. Now in our vehicle, that measurement is 20 inches. Now, keep in mind: That measurement can change due to tire size, hitch style, or any other accessory that may change your vehicle's ride height so it's a good idea to measure yours. We'll now take the drawbar.
Slide the shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our pin and clip. That will secure the drawbar to the vehicle here in the drop position. Now from the top of the ball platform to the ground measures 17-1/2 inches. We can now go ahead and flip the drawbar over into the rise position. In the rise position from the top of the drawbar platform to the ground measures 20-3/4 inches.
That will complete our test fit of the Draw-Tite Ball Mount with 3/4-inch Rise or 2-inch Drop, part number 2923, on our 2012 Jeep Liberty.
