Review of the Draw-Tite Ball Mount on a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee well be test fitting the Draw Tite ball mount three-quarter inch rise or two inch drop, rated at 6,000 pounds, part number 2923. Before we begin our test fit, we will first need to obtain a hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. Our measurement is 15 inches. This measurement may vary due to tire size and aftermarket accessories. Now well go ahead, and in the drop position insert the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, insert our pin through our pin hole and secure with the clip.

Now well go ahead and measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and well get a measurement of 13 inches. Well then flip the ball mount over into the rise position and again, measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and get a measurement of 16 inches. That completes todays test fit for the Draw Tite ball mount with a three-quarter inch rise or two inch drop, rated at 6,000 pounds, part number 2923 on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
