Today, on our 2007 Toyota 4Runner, we'll be test fitting the Curt 20 x 60 Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier, part number C18100. To begin our test-fit, slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch tube. Align the pinhole, slide the pin through the pinhole and secure with the clip. Now, lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and the vehicle fit together. With the cargo carrier folded up, we have about 13 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 5 1/2 inches.
To unfold the cargo carrier, pull the pin at the base of the carrier and allow it to tilt down. Remember to replace the pin and clip. Now, we'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements to see how the carrier and the vehicle fit together. With the cargo folded down, we have about six inches of ground clearance from the rear. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 10 1/2 inches.
The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle's exhaust tip is about 14 inches. The cargo door breaks over the surface of the cargo carrier at about 14 inches. That concludes today's test fit for the Curt 20 x 60 Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier, part number C18100, on our 2007 Toyota 4Runner.
