Review of the Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier on a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox

Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Equinox well be test fitting the Curt 20 by 48 cargo carrier for both inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number C18145. Now to begin our test fit weve already installed the included adapter for the two inch hitch. Well slide our cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight our cargo carrier is secure to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is two and a quarter inches.

The cargo carrier will add an additional 22 inches of overall length to the vehicle. The ground clearance at the back of the carrier is 11 inches. The exhaust on this vehicle does exit the drivers side here at the rear bumper. It is approximately 15 inches from the cargo carrier platform and does sit slightly lower than the platform itself. Now the rear cargo door does break over the cargo carriers platform at about 19 and a half inches.

Thatll do it for the Curt 20 by 48 cargo carrier for both inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number C18145, on out 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.
