Today on our 2013 Ford F150 well be test fitting the Convert-a-ball cushion ball mount for two inch hitches, part number AMSC2HD. Now before we begin our test fit well first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. Ours measures 19 inches. This measurement may vary due to tire size and aftermarket accessories. Now well go ahead and slide the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch in the drop position and secure it with a pin and clip.
Well then measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and get a measurement of 17 inches. If your trailers ride height matches ours, which is the measurement from the ground to the bottom of the coupler while your trailer is level this should be an appropriate ball mount for you. Well then flip the ball mount over into the rise position and measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform and well get a measurement of 20 inches. Again if your trailer ride height matches ours this should be an appropriate ball mount for you.
