Review of the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount with 2 Inch Drop on a 2013 Ford Escape


Today on our 2013 Ford Escape well be test fitting the cushioned ball mount for two inch hitches with three quarter rise or two inch drop from Convert-A-Ball. This is part number AMSC2. Before fitting our ball mount to the vehicle well first need to get our hitch height measurement. To do this well measure from the inside top edge of the hitch receiver tube to the ground. On this vehicle, that measurement is 14 inches. Keep in mind that measurement can change due to hitch style, tire size or any other accessory that may change your vehicles ride height, so its a good idea to measure yours.

Well now go ahead and slide the ball mount shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and using a pin and clip well secure the ball mount to the vehicle in the drop position. With the ball mount in the drop position from the top of the ball mount platform to the ground measures 12 inches. Well now go ahead and flip the ball mount into the rise position where we can measure from the top of the ball platform to the ground, getting a 14 inch measurement. That will complete our test fit of the cushioned ball mount for two inch hitches from Convert-A-Ball, part number AMSC2 on our 2013 Ford Escape.
