Today on our 2007 Toyota 4 Runner well be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball cushioned ball mount, part number AMSC4. Before we begin our test fit we will need to get a hitch height for this vehicle. This is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the hitch tube. Our measurement is about 17 inches. Well now go ahead and slide the shank of the ball mount into the receiver tube of the hitch in its drop position, line up the hitch pin hole, slide the pin through the pin hole and secure it with the clip. The measurement from the ground to the top of the ball platform in the drop position is about 13 inches.
We will now flip the ball mount over into the rise position and measure from the ground to the top of the platform. Our measurement is about 20 inches. If your trailer ride height matches either of these measurements this would be an appropriate ball mount for you.
