How to Install the CIPA Dual-View Clip-on Towing Mirror on a 2003 Nissan Frontier

Speaker 1: Today on our 2003 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be installing Cipa's universal dual lens towing mirrors, part number 11953. You can also get these in a quantity of two, with part number 11953-2. And as you can see here, I'm fully visible in our factory mirrors, but as I take a step toward the outside, I'm no longer visible in our factory mirror, but I can still be clearly seen in our universal towing mirrors. This is especially helpful when merging on the highway, changing lanes, or during parking maneuvers. Each mirror is fully adjustable, both vertically and horizontally. One is convex, to give you a larger field of view. And one is straight to have a more accurate distance of what's behind you.

And while the mirrors are installed, you can still adjust your factory mirror. And the breakaway function, will still allow the mirror to fold in without contacting anything. It's attached to the back using the rubber straps, which makes it easy, and prevents any scratches or abrasions on the backside of your mirror. Compared to other mirrors, this one gives you all the options you need. The convex mirror, and the straight mirror's going to give you an excellent field of view. And they quickly install with the rubber straps on the back, making it easy to put on, take off, whenever you need to hook up your trailer. We'll start our installation on the back of the mirror, by loosening the adjustment nuts, so we can select the width that we need for our mirrors.

Now line up on your mirrors. You want to hook the bottom side first, then adjust the proper width, and hook the top side. Then bring the strap around the back side, and hook it on top. If necessary, adjust the length of your strap in the buckle, by pushing it in or out to make it longer or shorter.Once you have both sides strapped down, tighten up your adjustment knobs on the back. And you can repeat that same process on the other side.

Now you've got both of your mirrors installed, you're ready to hook up your trailer, and hit the road. And that completes our installation of Cipa's universal dual lens towing mirrors on our 2003 Nissan Frontier.
