How to Install the CIPA Dual-View Clip-on Towing Mirror on a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder

Speaker 1: Here in this 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, we're gonna be having a look at and showing you how to install the CIPA Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors. Sold individually as part number 11953. Or as a pair, part number 11953-2.As you can see. This mirror offers us a wide field of view. You'll notice that I'm visible in the towing mirror right now, but I'm not visible in the factory mirror. I'll walk closer to our trailer behind our Pathfinder and become visible in the bigger section of our mirror in this area here, but I'm still not visible in the factory mirror. Now, right next to the edge of our trailer, is when I'm in our factory mirror.

This mirror is actually two mirrors in one. Our bigger section here gives us an accurate reading of what's actually behind, and this smaller section over here acts as a spot mirror. So this is great for seeing your blind spots. These work great when you're towing a trailer or a camper, because when you have a camper or trailer behind you, you can't see what's behind our next to your vehicle very well, and this eliminates any dangerous situations that may occur as we're turning, changing lanes, backing up, or just driving straight down the highway. Each on of our mirrors is fully adjustable. You can go up, down, side to side, even diagonally. The spot mirror works the same way too.We still even have full use of our power factory mirror.

We can still adjust it without any problems at all. The towing mirror does not interfere with it.Another great features about these is they don't interfere with out factory folding mirrors. If we wanted to fold in our mirror, we can still do that, even with these attached. The rubber straps won't scratch or damage our paint at all, and our factory turn signal that's in the mirror is still visible. Now, what's great about these mirrors, because they are universal, if you own multiple vehicles and you wanna tow your trailer with a different vehicle, you can simply take this mirror and it will, more than likely, fit your other vehicle. They will work with most. Now that we've gone over some features of our mirror, we'll show you how to get it installed. On the back side of it, we have these two knobs here. We're gonna loosen these up a little bit, that way we have adjustment.

I'll flip it back over, and we'll sit it on top of our mirror, making sure that our four clips here line up with the mirror and once they're lined up there, we can tighten our knobs back down. Now, we'll take our rubber strap, pull it tight, and hook it on to the top of our arm here. And then we'll just pull them tight. Now, if you did buy the pair of these mirrors, you can simply repeat the same process for the passenger side of the vehicle. And that completes our look at and showing you how to install the CIPA Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors, part number 11953, for an individual mirror. Or as a pair, part number 11953-2, on this 2018 Nissan Pathfinder.
