How to Install the CIPA Towing Mirrors on a 2013 Ram 1500
Today on our 2013 Ram 1500 Crew Crab, we will be test-fitting the Cipa Custom Slip-on Towing Mirror for the driver sidepart number CM11401. The Cipa Custom Towing Mirror is made from a durable ABS plastic and also offers a scratch-resistant mirror face. The towing mirrors will easily slip over your factory mirror to extend your line of sight. They allow you to safely and easily change lanes, pass, and park, while towing a trailer. The towing mirror maintains the aerodynamics of the factory mirrorthis will eliminate any vibration or wind noise. The manually-adjustable mirror lets you customize your view.Here we have our mirror. Along with the mirror comes a thumb screw.
Once you have your mirror set in place well use this to tighten down and secure it, and we also have two different sizes of spacers. These spacers are used to secure the mirror to the vehicle. The thicker one is for use with standard mirrors. The thinner one, they recommend use on chrome mirrors or on capped mirrors. Once weve determined which spacer is right for us, well put the felt pad on the front of it. We will do this by removing the double-sided tape.
Today, for our demonstration purposes, we will not be installing the pad. Now well grab everything, go to the driver side mirror, and begin our installation. We will first slide our towing mirror onto our factory mirror, being sure we have it pushed all the way in. We will then take the appropriate spacer; we will slide it into position, being sure that we line up our holes. Once we have our spacer in place and we have our holes lined up, we will complete our install by simply threading in the thumb screw. This mirror is for the driver side of our Ram.
The passenger side towing mirror is available with part number CM11402. That will complete todays installation of the Cipa Custom Towing Mirrorpart number CM11401on our 2013 Ram 1500. .
