How to Install the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors on a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be doing a test fit on the CIPA custom towing mirrors for the driver and passenger side, part number CM10900. If you're just looking to pick up the driver's side, just use part number 10901 and if you're just looking to pick up the passenger side, you can use part number 10902. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror but not the factory mirror. You can see how the towing mirror's going to give that nice factory look. It's going to contour our factory mirror nicely.

The mirror itself can be adjust to many angles. We've got left and right, top and bottom, and even diagonal. It's not going to interfere with the operation of our factory mirror and we can even still rotate it in. I'm here on the driver's side of my Chevrolet Silverado and to begin our test fit we'll first want to be sure that our factory mirror is clean of any dirt or debris before we slide it on. Then, we can just line it up. We'll get it about 3/4 of the way on our factory mirror and then we can take our wedge.

Then we'll just slide it on. We want this portion of the hole to line up with the hole here. We'll slide it to where the wedge hits the inside of the factory mirror. To there and then we'll slide our towing mirror the rest of the way on. We can then take our thumb screw and tighten that down nice and secure.

Then we're ready to tow. It's a very simple installation. You just repeat the same process for the other side. That's going to complete our test fit on the CIPA custom towing mirrors, part number CM10900 on our 2010 Silverado.
