How to Install the CIPA Clip-on Towing Mirror on a 2017 Nissan Murano

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Nissan Murano, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Cipa Clip-On towing mirror. It's available in a quantity of one with part number 7070. You can also get it as a pair with part number 7070-2. It offers us a wide field of view. It's gonna last. Safe and easily change lanes, pass, park or even back up while towing a small trailer or camper.

As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. Now, if I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up, but this is the view you get with just your factory mirror. The mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees, so if you want to turn it to that horizontal position, you have that option. It can also be adjusted to most angles. We've got our up and down, diagonal and side to side. Each one of our tabs is not gonna interfere with the operation or movement of our factory mirror and we can even still fold it in.Here on the backside, it uses two adjustable rubber straps. The nice thing about them being rubber is that they're not gonna harm or scratch the finish of the backside of our mirror.

The other nice thing about them being rubber is you're gonna be able to maneuver them around. You can see here how it doesn't get in the way of our 360 degree camera. I'd also like to point out that the straps only cover up a portion of our turn signal, so we're gonna still have use of that.A few great things about this towing mirror is, for one it's for temporary use, so we can take it off when we're done towing. Another great thing is, since it is universal, if you have any other trucks or SUVs in the household, it may work with those as well. Now, we'll show you how easy it is to get installed. So, I'm here on the driver's side of my Murano.

To begin our test, we need to make sure that each one of our tabs sits on the inside of housing. Now, I'm just going to center it up with my mirror. Get it where I want it. Hold it in place and we can run the straps on the back side. Now when we run our straps, we want to be sure that there's a little bit of tension on them already.

That way when we clip it in place, it holds the mirror in place. So, we're just gonna stretch it up over the back side and hook it and we can adjust the strap how we want then we'll repeat the same process with our second strap. Now, if we want to tighten it or loosen it, we can guide the strap up through the buckle and then pull it down through the other side. This looks pretty good. Let's go ahead and stretch it. Make sure it's not covering up our camera and it's that easy. Now, if you pick up the pair, you can just simply repeat the same process on the passenger side. And that's gonna complete our test fit on the Cipa Clip-On towing mirror on our 2017 Nissan Murano.
