How to Install the CIPA Clip-On Towing Mirror on a 2017 Kia Sorento

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Kia Sorento, we're going to be doing a test for the CIPA Clip-On Towing Mirror. It's available in a quantity of one with part number 7070. You can also get it as a pair with part number 7070-2.They offer us a wide field of view. They're going to allow us to safely, easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a small trailer or camper. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror but not the factory mirror. If I take a few steps in towards my trailers, you can see there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up; but this is the view you get with just your factory mirror. The mirror's tabs are not going to come in contact or interfere with the operation of our factory mirror and we can even still fold it in.Both mirrors are adjustable 360 degrees. So if you want to turn it to that horizontal position for a different view, you have that option. Now, they're also adjustable to different angles.

Got our up and down, diagonal and side to side. Here on the back side, they use two adjustable rubber straps to hold them in place. The nice thing about them being rubber is they're not going to harm or scratch the finish of our mirror. Here you can see they don't fully cover up our turn signal, so we're still going to have use of that.A couple of great things about these mirrors are, for one, they're for temporary use. So you can take them off when you're done towing. Another great thing is, since they are universal, if you have any other trucks or SUVs in the household, they're probably going to work with those as well. Now we'll show you how easy they are to install. Now, we need to be sure that each one of our four tabs sits between the housing and the mirror.

I'm just going to center mine up with the mirror itself and then we can run our straps on the back side. Now, it's a good idea to have a little bit of tension on your straps already. That way, when we connect the strap to the hook up top, it holds the mirror in place. With that one being done, we can go ahead and just repeat the same process with the second strap. With the driver's side mirror installed, we can go and repeat the same process with the mirror on the opposite side, adjust our mirrors how we want and we're ready to tow. It's that easy. And that's going to complete our test fit of the CIPA Clip-On Towing Mirrors on our 2017 Kia Sorento.
