Best 2015 Chevrolet Malibu Hitch Options

Today, we'll be taking a look at the best three hitch options available for our 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. Now here's going to be our three hitch options available. They're all going to be Class 2's, and then they're all going to be an inch and a quarter by and inch and a quarter. The CURT, part number C12115. The Draw-Tite, part number 36538. And then, the Hidden Hitch, down here on the bottom, which is going to be part number 90242. Now the only significant difference between the three, and specifically, the Draw-Tite and the Hidden Hitch, is that the Hidden Hitch is going to come with your inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter draw bar and end cap to go on the end of it. The CURT, it's going to be very similar in the mounting features and bracketry as the Draw-Tite and the Hidden Hitch. The only difference is is that the plate is going to come all the way around, giving it a fully welded construction on the outer brackets of your hitch. Now note that all three hitches are going to have three plates that are going to mount when you assemble them.

You're going to have the front plate here that's going to go back to the exhaust hangers, and you're going to have a bottom plate that will lay underneath, that will go back to the cross member for your rear axle, with another plate attached there. All three will have those. All three are going to be fully welded with a black powder coat finish to help prevent any type of rust and corrosion. And the only difference really is going to be the end cap here. The end of our shank is going to be nice and round, and have a nice visual appearance. It's going to be an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter, with a three hundred fifty pound max tongue weight, and thirty five hundred max towing capacity. Now you can see that you'll also have your chain tie downs here as well, and these are going to be a little bit smaller on the CURT than they are going to be on the Draw-Tite and the Hidden Hitch. You'll see here on the side that you're going to have a half inch pin hole that's going to go all the way through.

Now the Draw-Tite and the Hidden Hitch are going to be very similar. They're going to have that fully welded construction and almost identical bracketry. They're going to have that square bar going all the way across the top. The only part that's going to be visible is going to be this lower portion down here. You're going to have a little bit more squared off of an end tube, with a ring going around it to give you a little bit of an aesthetic look instead of it just being a shank coming out.

The half inch pin hole going straight through, and a little bit lower of a max tongue weight capacity than the CURT, at three hundred pounds maximum tongue weight. They'll have a little bit bigger of a chain tie downs on either side for the safely chains, and a max towing capacity of three thousand five hundred pounds. From the center of the pin hole to the outermost part of the bumper, is going to be about three and three quarter inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground, it's going to be about eleven and one quarter inches. Now as you can see, this is what it will look like with your CURT installed. It's going to be sleek and tucked away underneath the backside of the bumper, with the only thing being visible is that lower part of the receiver like we talked before. The brackets won't really be visible because the fascia on the backside will rest down below. You'll have the four bolts sticking through, with the bottom tube going back to the cross member on the back axle. And that will do it for our review of the best three hitch options available for our 2015 Chevrolet Malibu..
