Best 2013 Volvo XC60 Hitch Options

Today on our 2013 Volvo XC60, we're going to compare the three hitches we have available. Curt Hitch, part number 13268, Draw Tite hitch, part number 75671 and our Hidden Hitch, part number 87566. Note that our Draw Tite and Hidden Hitch are identical hitches. Next, we'll get some measurements that will help with selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. Each of these hitches is going to have a comparable install measurement, approximately seven inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper and thirteen and a quarter inches from the top of the receiver tube opening down to the ground. These are our Class III hitches and all three hitches are capable of four hundred pounds of tongue weight and a four thousand pound tow capacity. Each of these hitches are similar in how they install on the vehicle and the fit and finish is pretty similar.

If we take a look at our Curt hitch, we can see it's got the two inch by two inch receiver tube. It's a fully welded construction, it has a really nice black powder coated finish. On each side of our receiver tube, we have our chain hold downs and they're easily accessible. Here, we have our Hidden Hitch and Draw Tite. One of the really nice features of these two hitches, they have a bracket that's welded to the hitch. This bracket is designed to mount your electrical connections for either a trailer connection or possibly an accessory.

Again, we have our two inch by two inch receiver tube, chain hold downs that are easily accessible. The five eighths pin hole that goes all the way through our receiver tube for our anti rattle bolt, hitch pin or even a locking device and a second half inch hole that goes all the way through. This is for the J pin style anti rattle bolt that works in conjunction with the pin hole. This is available on both the Hidden Hitch and Draw Tite. One other thing to note here on the Draw Tite and Hidden Hitch is our receiver tube has a stop or a plate welded to the back of the receiver tube. That way, when we install our hitch accessory, it doesn't slide all the way through the receiver tube.

It makes it easier to line up our hitch pin hole and that will do it for the hitch comparisons on our 2013 Volvo XC60.
