Best 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan Hitch Options

Today, our 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. We're going to go ahead and review the three best hitch options available. Curt- Hitch bar, number 13389; Draw-tite Hitch bar, number 75305; and our Hidden Hitch, part number 87719. Each one of these hitches is a class 3 hitch, has a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. All three hitches are capable of up to 350 pounds of tongue weight, with a 3500 pound toe capacity. As you can see, all three hitches are similar, but the Draw-tite and Hidden Hitch are actually exact duplicates of each other. The install of each of our hitches is going to be similar. As you can see the style and shape is all similar, and they all have a nice black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion, that can happen over time. It's been my experience when installing these hitches that the Curt Hitch, and it's design is slightly easier to get in place and secure. One of the really nice features of our Draw-tite and Hidden Hitch is the second pre-drilled hole in the receiver tube.

This is the design to use with the J Pin style, anti-rattle bolt and lock. Once installed our Curt-Hitch is going to have approximately 4 inches from the center of the inaudible 00:01:19 hole to the outermost edge of the bumper. Then from the top of the receiver tube opening down to the ground is going to be approximately 12 and a half inches. For our Draw-tite and Hidden Hitch, from the center of the inaudible 00:01:30 hole to the outermost edges of the bumper is approximately 3 inches, and from the top of the receiver tube opening, down to the ground is about the same at 12 and a half inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories, such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. That'll do it for our best hitch options available for our 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan.
