Today, I'm going to take a look at etrailer pre-greased trailer idler hub assembly for 6,000 pound axles, with the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this trailer hub assembly will fit idler axles. It does include everything you need, the bearings, the bearing races, the grease seal, the grease cap, and the lug nuts are all included.It is a sturdy iron construction. It has a zinc-enriched paint finish on it, and this is a pre-greased idler hub, which is very easy to install. There's no need to have to pack the bearings or install the grease seal. You can see they come already.

It has the protective cap on it, you pop that off, there's your bearing with the grease pre-greased, and your seal all put in there. It saves you the time of having to install it yourself. And the same way on the front, if you take off the protective seal, they're there. You can see your bearing with the grease all in there.Now, they do use a lithium complex multipurpose grease to help keep the bearings lubricated, and this hub is QAI and CSA certified. Application for this hub is 6,000 pound trailer axles with the number 42 spindles, and it is compatible with standard axles from most manufacturers, including Dexter, Lippert, and Alco.

The wheel size it'll fit on this hub is 14 inch to 16 1/2 inch wheels.Bolt pattern we mentioned is a 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Wheel stud dimensions, 1/2 inch diameter. It does come with six of the 1/2 by 20 size lug nuts to hold your wheel on. Weight capacity, it's going to be 3000 pounds, which means that one of these is used on one side of the axle and one on the other, it'll get you your 6,000 pound capacity for your axle. And the bearings that are included, the inner bearing is going to be part number 25580.
