Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this pre-greased trailer idler hub assembly for 3,500 pound axles. This has a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this trailer and hub assembly fits idler axles, which are axles that do not have brakes and this is a pre-greased idler hub so it's very easy to install. There's no need having to pack your bearings or install the grease seal in the rear.

This'll come all ready to go. Does use a lithium complex multipurpose grease to keep the bearings lubricated. If you notice, they do have the cover on the front and on the belt, the back here to help keep the grease in the hub. So basically when you receive this, you just pop off the cover both places and you slide it onto your spindle, install your grease cap and you're all ready to go.Now it does include the pre-greased inner and outer bearings on the inside. The bearing race is already pre-installed inside.

They do have the grease seal installed right there so you don't have to worry about trying to press that into there. It's all ready to go. Does come with the standard grease cap, take off this cover and going to pop that right on, and also comes with the six half inch by 20 size lug nuts. Now this is a sturdy iron construction. They do use a zinc enriched paint finish on it.

It is QAI and CSA certified. Specs again, this will fit on a 3,500 pound trailer axle with the number 84 spindles and it is compatible with the standard axles from most manufacturers including Dexter, Lippert and Alco. It is designed to work with 14 inch up to 16 and a half inch diameter wheels.The bolt pattern we mentioned is six on five and a half inches. Wheel stud dimension is a half inch diameter and the weight capacity on this hub is 1,750 pounds. So when this is used with one on the other side of the axle, it'll meet your 3,500 pound axle rating.

Now bearings that are included on the inside, the inner bearing would use part number L68149, outer bearing will be L44649. The grease seal that's pre installed on the back here is 58846. A grease cap is a part number F001518, and the six lug nuts are part number CE11051.
