Review of Vision X Lights XIL-S1110

Today we're going to review part number XIL-S1110. This is the Vision X 10 Watt LED Solstice Solo Pod light, with the spot beam pattern. Now this part number comes with everything shown here, comes with the light itself, comes with a mounting bracket, comes with the Omni Link interlocking adapter, comes with the hardware, an Allen wrench and also the pigtail Deutsche connector. This LED pod light will provide a bright focus light. It's a compact lightweight design, great for tight spaces. This light has a narrow, 10 degree spot-beam, which is ideal for high speed off-road applications. Gives you a very superior light output.

Has a single 10 watt LED, which produces about 279 feet of super bright light. This does give you maximum efficiency with minimal heat. The premium LED in this as a 50,000 hour lifespan and is driven to 90% of the light emitting potential. Now, even though it says 50,000 hour lifespan, you do have to remember this also has a limited lifetime warranty which would cover it. This does use the electronic thermal management or ETM technology and that allows for your highest potential light output at all times. On the very back of the light has channeled fins, which will let the heat quickly dissipate. It is a durable weather resistant construction.

Has a nice rugged black powder coated aluminum housing, which is very lightweight and rustproof. Uses an impact resistant poly-carbonate lens. Has a scratch resistant coating and the mounting bracket hardware uses a high tinsel stainless steel hardware to help withstand vibration. It is a very easy installation, with these included components. You can mount this on your handlebars, helmets, round tubing. We saw brackets that you can buy separately that allow you to do that.

It does come with this universal single bolt pedestal style bracket, provides a sturdy mounting brace and let's you adjust the angle. Basically what you do . You'll notice this pod has on all four sides it has a slot in it, so basically what you would do is just slide that mounting bracket in there, put your bolt in there, tighten that down. That would hold it into place and you just mount it this way and it'll give you your adjustment you can do. The other nice thing is it offers is this Omni Link interlocking system and what this allows you to do, it's another bracket that you can slide into any one of those slots, put your screw in there tighten it down and then with that on there, what you can do is actually add multiple LED pod lights together. You can run them this way, this way, this way, whatever you want.

I got an example here of an extra one, just to show you with this attached to here, all you would have to do is slide that on, tighten it down and it'll give you two together. You can just keep doing that as many as you'd like and that's the Omni Link interlocking system is what that's called. It does include this pigtail wiring harness, which has the industry standard triple seal Deutsche connector. If you notice that orange ring, this is where it plugs into the back of your light. If you notice that orange ring, that'll give you the triple seal, so when you go to plug it into your light, just like this, it's a very snug fit. You can feel the seal. Push it in, it snaps and pops into place and then give you a good weather tight seal. Then to remove it, just push down, pull it out. You can remove it from the connector. The specs on this, the quantity . It includes one light, one diode, which is 10 watts. A power draw is point eight three amps. Input voltage is nine volts to 48 volts DC and again comes with the limited lifetime warranty. The light output on this is the effective lumen output is 736. The raw lumen output is 1052 and the beam when this is turned on that it gives off is 279 feet long and 53 feet wide. It is a narrow, 10 degree spot-beam. The dimension on this light is two inches by two inches and about two and a half inches deep. What I am going to do is go ahead and plug this in to our power source. Then what I am going to try to do is show you the brightness of this light and the pattern. What we're going to do . I'm going to go ahead and try to zoom out and show it on the back wall here. There we go. We'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. With the overhead lights off, going to go ahead and turn on the power. You can see with the power on, gives you the spot-beam. Just like that. See if I can turn this around. We'll put it on the back wall and you can see there's the spot-beam that it's going to give off. Gives you a beam of about again 279 feet long, 53 feet wide. Go ahead and turn off the power. Turn on the overhead lights. That should do it for the review on part number XIL-S1110, the Vision X 10 Watt LED Solstice Solo Pod light, with the spot-beam pattern. .
