Review of Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring 118362

Today we're going to take a look at the tow-ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with the 4-way flat trailer connector. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1998 to 2004 Nissan Frontier vehicles and the 1998 Nissan Quest. On any custom fit part what I always like to recommend is to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it will show you if this will work for your application. This part includes everything shown here on the table. It's designed to provide this 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. It does connect very quickly and easily.

There is no cutting or splicing of wires. Basically you just take this T-connector here, locate the connection points that are along the frame rail on the rear of the vehicle, plug in this T-connector, attach your ground wire, attach your converter down, and then run this out the back and you'd be all ready to go. This custom fit connector right here will plug into your vehicle's wiring harness in the rear and on the vehicle that this is designed for that's usually near the passenger side frame rail. There'll be a plug in that you'll just unplug, plug this T-connector into that. It does include this converter and this taillight converter is designed to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. The wire that goes out the back with the 4-way attach is a 60 gauge bonded wire and the other nice feature is it includes this integrated dust cap for the 4-way so when you're not plugged into a trailer you just put that over the terminals and it will protect it from any damage or from the elements. A few specs on this harness.

The maximum amperage for the stop and turn light circuit is 2.1 amps per circuit. For the taillights it's 4 amps total. It does include this nice set of detailed instructions that will describe how to install it and even give you pictures of where the connection points are. It comes with 2 screws. One of them is for the ground wire, the other is if you want to use it to attach the converter down.

It gives you multiple ways of attaching this converter. When you install this you don't want this converter bouncing around so they have this little tab on here that you can use a screw to attach it down, you can use the large cable tie, or they even attach a piece of double-faced tape that can be used. Basically, real simply, when you go to install this on your vehicle what you'll do, again, is go to the rear of the vehicle, locate on the passenger side frame rail that plug. Unplug it. Plug this in so it matches up. Attach your converter to a nice flat surface so it does not move around.

Then you have your white wire with the eyelet on it. That needs to be connected to a good clean ground for this whole system to work. Use one of the screws, drill a hole, make your ground, run your length of wire out the back, plug it into your trailer and you're supplying the lights on your trailer. When you unplug it, just put your cap back on, roll your wire back up and store it in the back of the vehicle. That should do it for the review on the tow-ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with the 4-way flat trailer connector.
