Review of Titan Galvanized 10" Right Hand Hydraulic Trailer Brakes

Today we're looking at the Titan 10 inch hydraulic brake assembly, part number t4522800. This setup is for the right hand side. We can tell this is by looking at the shoe linings as our forward shoe is going to be smaller than the rear shoe lining or primary shoe. This is a single servo setup which means it has one wheel cylinder and one wheel cylinder piston which pushes out against our brake shoe creating a wedge effect inside the brake drum. Our assembly is setup on a galvanized backing plate for minimal corrosion. This is a good marine application.

It also has the 4 holes pre drilled for axle with a 4th bolt flange setup. We initially setup our brake assembly to our hub drum, we use a star wheel to adjust the brake shoe linings out to create a light drag on the brake drum. Then as the brake shoe linings wear, we'll remove the grommet in the backing plate to access the star wheel adjuster, to keep the brake shoe linings adjusted for even braking. To measure our brake assembly, measure across the brake shoe linings, we have 10 inches by 2 1/4. This assembly will fit a 10 inch by 2 1/4 inch hub drum assembly.

When we pair the right hand with the left hand side, we can create up to 3750 pounds of braking capacity. It also has a fall away brake system which means there will be minimum drag when backing up, making this a god application for trailers with braking couplers. The setup comes with a one year warranty. And there you have it for the Titan 10 inch hydraulic brake assembly part number t4522800.
