Review of Titan 12" Left Hand Trailer Brakes

Today we're looking at the Titan 10 inch hydraulic brake assembly, part number t2351100. This assembly is setup for the left hand side and the way we tell this is by looking at the shoe lining. The forward shoe will be smaller than the rear shoe or primary. This is a single servo setup which means it has one wheel cylinder with one piston pushes out against our brake linings this will then create a wedge effect inside the brake drum assembly to create a nice even braking setup. This setup will also deliver 20 percent braking in reverse. When mounting it is setup for a 5 bolt flange style, has pre drilled holes to the backing plate to mount up to your axle .

This is 5 bolt on 3 7/8s in centers. When you're initially setting up you also need to make a manual adjustment with the star wheel to adjust your shoe linings out to meet your hub drum braking surface. To tell what size shoe linings or assembly we have, we can simply measure across the width of the shoes and see it as 12 inches. Then we measure the thickness of our shoe and see it as 2 inch. This assembly will fit inside a 12 inch by 2 inch hub drum assembly. Couple this assembly with the right hand side and you have up to 6000 pounds in braking capacity.

Another special note is as the shoe linings wear down, you will need to make an adjustment with our star wheel so to take our the clearance between the shoe lining and braking surface on your hub drum assembly. To do this you simply go to the access hole in the backing plate. This setup also comes with a one year warranty. And there you have it for the Titan 12 inch hydraulic brake assembly part number t2351100.
