Taylor Made Mooring - Dock Lines - TM45FR Review

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this tailor-made 3/8 inch diameter, 15 ft long, double braid nylon dock line. Now, when you need to tie your boat up to your dock or mooring, this 15 ft long, 3/8 inch diameter dock line is up to the task. I'm going to zoom in here and show you the material. It's a nice durable, flexible, double braided nylon, which is very long-lasting.

It is resistant to oil, grease, gas and most chemicals. And this material can be stored wet or dry without mildew buildup. If you notice on this end it has this nice spliced eye loop, which is stronger than a typical knot. So, this will allow someone on the dock to easily connect this end to a cleat or a piling on the dock.On the other end of this line, there's a whipped bitter end which is the end of the line, that'll be adjusted on board the boat. You can see it has a nice bright white color.

Dimensions again is 15 ft long, 3/8 inch diameter. Now, it is recommended 1/8 of inch of line diameter for every 9 ft of boat length. So, this one being the 3/8 inch diameter application boats up to 25 ft long. Now, if your boat is located in a windy area or an area of rough sea conditions, it's a good idea to choose the next bigger line diameter. And tensile strength on this line is 4,450 lbs.But that should do it for the review on the tailor-made 3/8 inch diameter by 15 ft long double braid nylon dock line..
