Roadmaster Tow Bar Braking Systems - Second Vehicle BrakeAway Kit - RM-98162 Review

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the second-vehicle breakaway kit for Roadmaster Brake Pro supplemental braking system. This kit is designed to work with the Roadmaster Brake Pro supplemental braking system, part number RM-9300. If you flat-tow two different vehicles, this kit will allow you to install a breakaway kit on the second vehicle. Since the breakaway kit is hardwired into a towed vehicle through the firewall, the one that's installed on the first vehicle of course cannot be used on your second vehicle. If you have a second car, it is recommended you purchase this second kit to make the towing experience safe and easy for that vehicle also.

This kit will include the brake, everything shown here on the table. The breakaway switch, the wiring harness, the breakaway cable, a safety brake-light cable, some cable ties, and then the hardware for the brake-light cable, and even gives you a nice set of installation instructions that'll describe how to install it. The breakaway switch is what is attached to the front of the vehicle you're towing, and then the cable connects to the rear of the motor home. It is a safety feature that'll activate the towed vehicle's brakes if your vehicle becomes detached from the motor home. What's nice is this kit will include a safety brake-light cable, which is a safety device to protect the towed vehicle's brakes.

This cable will run to the brake alert receiver in your motor home and indicate that the brakes are being applied continuously to let you know to take action before damage occurs to your towed vehicle's brakes. But that should do it for the review on the second-vehicle breakaway kit for the Roadmaster Brake Pro supplemental braking system..
