Reese Gooseneck - Below the Bed - RP30137 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Reese Elite Series Pop-In Ball Kit for the Ford Super Duty and Nissan Titan XD under-bed gooseneck hitches. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2011 and newer Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks with the OEM prep package, and also the 2016 Nissan and newer Titan XD trucks with the OEM integrated gooseneck. Now, the hitch ball right here is designed for use with the Reese Elite Series under-bed gooseneck trailer hitches or the factory-installed gooseneck hitches on those vehicles. It includes everything laid out here on the table, the Elite pop-in ball, two safety-chain attachments, a rubber hole cover, and a nice drawstring storage bag. We'll start with the pop-in ball. This will fit security in your hitch. It's very easy to insert and remove.

Basically you just lift up in the middle lever right here, turn it 90 degrees, and that will unlock it, and then you drop the ball into place, turn this that way, and it will lock it with the ball bearings. If it doesn't lock right away, you just rotate the ball until it finds the holes and then it will lock into place. Again, it uses this nice built-in ball bearing system. Again, you just pull up like that to release it and it releases those ball bearings, and then when you let it lock, then it locks it right into place. It has the two safety-chain hook-ups that are included. These also will attach directly to the Power Pucks that are built into your gooseneck rails for simple mounting and removal.

The same way, if you just pull up on this inner part, drop it into the puck, turn it, and when you turn it 90 degrees, it will drop that and lock it into place. Then to remove it, all you do is lift up on that locking lever and remove it from the puck. The rubber cover right here, this will help keep the ball hole free from dirt and debris when the ball is removed, and this nice storage bag will keep the ball and all the other items in good condition when they're not used.A few specs on this. The gross towing weight capacity is 30,000 pounds. Now you do want to remember that the capacity is limited to that of the hitch you're using it on. The ball size diameter is a standard 2-5/16ths diameter. So again, if you're not using it, the bag has a nice handle on it, you can just drop your attachments in there, drop your ball in there, drop your cover in there, pull your drawstring, push in on it just like that, pull your drawstring, and you have your nice handle here to carry everything in.That should do it for the review on the Reese Elite Series Pop-In Ball Kit for the Ford Super Duty and Nissan Titan XD under-bed gooseneck hitches..
