Reese Fifth Wheel Installation Kit - Custom - RP30886 Review

Today we're gonna take a look at the under bed rail and installation kit for the Reese Elite Series Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2017 and newer Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 super duty trucks without the OEM prep package. And on a custom fit part like this, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website. Use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this'll work for your application. Now this installation kit is designed for use with the Reese Elite Series and Signature Series Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches. Now for the Signature Series hitches, it does require an adapter kit which we sell separately on our website.

It's part number RP58419. This system is specifically designed for Elite Series Under bed Gooseneck Hitch, part number RP30138. Now these are under bed rails, so they provide complete access to your truck bed when the hitch is removed. These rails are underneath so there's no exposed rails and it's just four small mounting holes here that will come with covers that are in your truck bed, so you'll have full complete truck bed access. They call this a power puck system, allows quick, simple mounting and removal of the hitch, basically these are installed and your pucks we'll be showing in your truck bed.You just drop your hitch right in there, turn them to lock them into place and you're ready to go. And same way to remove it, just turn them to release it and then pull it right out.

Has a very nice wide platform, ensures absolute hitch stability. It is a vehicle specific design, so it does reduce the installation time, requires less drilling than universal systems. The brackets right here will mount on the outside of the vehicle frame rails and these cross members sit along the top of the vehicle frame rails beneath the bed.All these parts are a nice black powder coat steel, which helps resist corrosion. Comes with everything laid out here on the table. The rails themselves and the frame brackets, which was installed together.

Just to show you how it looks installed. All the mounting hardware you need to install it. The four trim rings that once this is installed on the top of the bed these would go around there and then the four puck plugs that when you're not using it, you just put those plugs in to keep any dirt or grime from getting in them.Does have a nice set of detailed instructions. Describe how to install all these parts. Now it does require drilling a four three inch diameter holes in your truck bed to be able to access these mounting holes.Again, the application is for Reese Elite Series and Signature Series Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, and the weight capacity is 27,500 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the under bed rail and installation kit for the Reese Elite Series Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches..
