Redline Trailer Hubs and Drums - Hub with Integrated Drum - 99865UC3 Review

Jeff: Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this trailer hub and drum assembly for 7,000 pound axles. Has the eight on 6 1/2" bolt pattern. Now this trailer hub and drum assembly provides the surface area for your brake shoes to grip when the brake is activated. It is compatible with hydraulic drum brakes, where your brake shoes will apply against or electric brakes where your magnet will stick to, so it works on either system electric or hydraulic. This is a sturdy iron construction. Now it does include everything laid out here on the table.

Both the inner and outer bearings are included, the bearing races, which are pre-installed into the hub, the grease seal, the grease cap, and then the eight wheel lug nuts are all included. This application is for a 7,000 pound trailer axle with the #99 spindles. The drum dimension, which will be measured on the inside. So the diameter is going to be 12 inches. The width is going to be two inches. It is designed to work with a 12 inch brake assembly.

And as we mentioned, the bolt pattern on this is an eight on 6 1/2" inch bolt pattern. The wheel bolt diameter size is a half an inch. Now the inner bearing, which is the larger of the two, is part number 28580, goes on the back here into the inner bearing race. The outer bearing is part number 25580. That goes into the outer bearing race. And the grease seal, that goes on the back here.

That's a part number T51153. And the grease cap, which attaches in the front here is part number 75DC. And then the eight wheel lug nuts, which are size half inch by 20. They're part number CE11051.But that should do it for the review on the trailer hub and drum assembly for 7,000 pound axles with the eight on 6 1/2" bolt pattern.
