Review of Quick Fist Tie Down Straps QF30050

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Quick Fist mini clamps. These durable, rubber jaw style clamps with the adjustable straps help you store and transport fishing rods, small flashlights and more. They mount horizontally or vertically to your vehicle, trailer, garage wall or any flat surface. They work great on emergency vehicles, work trucks, enclosed trailers, off road vehicles, military vehicles, ATVs and boats. It's a quick and easy installation. You'll notice that it has a total of five holes for mounting.

You can use the center hole and use a number 10 screw, you can use a bolt washer and nut, or you can use the corner holes and do four sheet metal screws and washers. All of the hardware is sold separately, and just keep that in mind, but it's still a quick and easy installation. You just want to use whatever works best for your application. When it comes to the construction, we're looking at a heavy duty, transportation grade rubber unaffected by climate, and it is UV resistant. Parts made in the USA, very simple and easy to use. You open it up, place whatever you need to in there, you take this tab, pull it until it's tight, and make sure it engages in one of the grooves on the bottom there. Now when it comes to the working load limit, we're looking at 25 pounds per clamp, 50 pounds per pair.

These are designed to hold objects from 5/8 of an inch to 1 3/8 inches in diameter. The mounting area, which is just this tab here on the back, measures an inch and a half by 1 13/16 of an inch. Overall depth, that's how far it sticks out from the installation surface, that gives us a depth measurement of about two inches. With this part number, both clamps are included, and just keep in mind that Quick Fist clamps are not to be used on exhaust pipes or any pipe that consistently exceeds a temperature of 180 degrees Fahrenheit. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Quick Fist mini clamps.
